Download Our Technical Specs for StatScan (PDF)
Statscan’s image quality benchmarks highly against industry standards. The system automatically selects the optimum technique factors according to only the operator’s input of two parameters: the patient’s size and the radiographic procedure required. Both these parameters are easily selected from a hierarchy of pictograms.
The system is flexible over a very wide range of patient size and radiographic procedures. This flexibility arises from the fact that Statscan has: kVp settings from 50-145; mA settings from 32-400; three standard scan speed settings 35mm/s, 70mm/s & 140mm/s; two slit width settings; a fundamental pixel size of 60 microns which is binned into super pixels, yielding a spatial resolution of 5.0, 4.2, 2.1, 1.4 or 1.1 lines pairs per millimetre (lp/mm) a fundamental contrast resolution of 14 bits, which combined with the applicable binned super pixels yields a contrast resolution of up to 48000 grey levels; as well as two target sizes in the x-ray tube.
The total image field covers an area of 680 x 1800 millimetres. Images can be taken anywhere in this field from 100 x 100 millimetres up to the full field size, thus covering the whole body.
