No less than eight of the hospitals in South Africa that has been accredited as preferred facilities during the World Cup will be using the Lodox Statscan Critical Imaging System as their first line x-ray system for trauma and emergencies.
These hospitals are: King Edward VIII and Ngwelezana in KZN, Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic, Milpark and Chris Hani Baragwanath in Gauteng, Pelonomi in the Free Sate as well as Groote Schuur and the Children’s Red Cross in the Cape Province.
The Lodox will enhance patient outcomes and reduce patient turnaround time for triage and disaster situations. Indeed, The Star of 22 February reported that when evaluating Bara’s readiness the Deputy Health Minister stated that he was particularly delighted with the Lodox Statscan installation in Bara’s new Trauma Unit.
